Charlie has practiced law since 1991 and has spent the last several years building Golden Rule's NIL practice foundation. He earned his Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Florida (1988) and his J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law (1991). In 1997, Charlie founded his own law firm in Joplin, MO, and has litigated, mediated, and settled thousands of cases — the kind of volume that teaches you how to successfully negotiate on behalf of your clients.

In 2018 he opened a second office in Columbia, home of the University of Missouri. Since 2023, Charlie and his team have worked with numerous athletes in not only Name, Image and Likeness, but also in assisting athletes with a number of other sports and contract matters, including helping Division I athletes pursue back compensation under the House v. NCAA settlement. He's also coached AAU softball and volleyball at the top club levels.

Sarah earned a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Human Development in 2015 from the University of Chicago where she served on Delta Gamma's Executive Board, and her J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law in 2018. In law school she made the Dean's List, worked in the Mediation Clinic, and served as President of the Women's Law Association.

Since 2023, Sarah has worked with a variety of University of Missouri student athletes on NIL partnerships with the law firm. It is through these collaborations – in addition to her own past athletic endeavors – that she has developed a strong interest in helping facilitate opportunities for student athletes through contract negotiations, marketing, and mentoring.

She moved home to Columbia from Miami in 2019 to join her father's firm and has been building things there since.

Rebekah is a former a Division I track and field athlete. While a college athlete, she developed an understanding of the discipline, commitment, and sacrifices required to compete at the highest level. That experience sparked a passion for athletics and a desire to help athletes maximize opportunities both personally and professionally.

After earning her undergraduate degree in Sports Management, she received her Juris Doctorate, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Akron School of Law and has spent the past six years practicing law. Throughout her legal career, she has represented clients in a variety of legal matters involving litigation, negotiations, and contract-related issues.

Rebekah is dedicated to protecting her clients’ interests and helping them build successful careers that extend beyond competition.

Billy is the newest member of the team and the one closest to the athlete experience. During law school he interned with the University of Missouri Athletics Department, working directly with NIL rules and compliance — so he knows how the regulations get applied in practice, not just how they read on paper.

Billy graduated from the University of Missouri in 2023 and earned his J.D. from Mizzou Law in 2026. His work is matching athletes with the partnerships that actually fit their talents and their brand.

Dawn has written and directed more than ten commercials featuring collegiate and professional athletes — the NIL collaborations that turn a signed partnership into something people actually see. She also helps scout the talent for them.

She earned her BSBA in Marketing from the University of Florida in 1988, and has run marketing and HR for Sticklen & Sticklen since 1997. In 2026, she earned a Certificate in NIL and Athlete Compensation through the University of Florida's Department of Sport Management, in the College of Health and Human Performance.

 Todd works closely with Billy in assessing athlete’s talents and matching them with partnerships that reflect their talent and brand. A Webb City, MO, native, Todd graduated from Webb City High School in 2013 where he was not only a dedicated student but also a key member of the school’s football team, contributing to three consecutive state championship victories. His experience as an athlete instilled in him the values of hard work, discipline, and teamwork.

Todd pursued his undergraduate education at the University of Arkansas, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2017. Following his undergraduate studies, Todd continued his education at the University of Arkansas School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 2021.
